Discover how to make mouthwatering hibiscus flower quesadillas with organic hibiscus tea, melty queso fresco cheese, avocado, and cilantro. A perfect combination.
- Rehydrate hibiscus flowers. Use the hibiscus flowers of 3 Two Sisters Tea (original flavor) sachet bags and add 4 cups of water, boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Drain and saute the re-hydrated hibiscus flowers with onion, garlic and spices in a little olive oil. (After the hibiscus flowers are cooked a bit, they will take on a meaty quality)
- Fill the quesadillas (flour tortillas): Add cheese, cilantro, avocado and the sauteed hibiscus flowers, and fold them over.
- Pan-sear each side until golden, finishing them in a warm oven to melt the cheese.
Enjoy!
