Education is crucial. Through The Jungle School, we have the opportunity to break the cycle of generational poverty.

Hearts In Action

We do not believe in coincidences, and this case was no exception. When we met Suzanne, co-founder and Educational Director at Hearts in Action, we knew we had found the reason/purpose of Two Sisters Tea.

Many of the children attending The Jungle School are the first generation in their families to become literate. Their newfound abilities to read, write, and problem-solve are making significant differences in their families' welfare and the local economy. Given the very high illiteracy rates in Guatemala, particularly in rural areas, education is the key to bringing about change.

Since 1999, The Jungle School in Petén, Guatemala has been growing and thriving, serving as a pre-K elementary, secondary, and vocational school for the San Andrés community. They began with 15 children and now have approximately 370 students, all of whom receive not only education but also breakfast and lunch every day. Their campus is a dynamic environment that provides training in the skills they need to gain confidence and be better prepared for meaningful employment, whether in their villages or abroad.

We do not believe in coincidences, and this case was no exception. When we met Suzanne, co-founder and Educational Director at Hearts in Action, we knew we had found the reason/purpose of Two Sisters Tea.  After several months of discussions and learning about planting hibiscus, the first 11,000 shrubs were on their way to becoming our first 100% Guatemalan Two Sisters Tea hibiscus flowers, contributing to an unparalleled project and team.
